Welcome to LATherapists.com
Hello! I ’m glad you found my website. This website has been created to offer some education, possible suggestions and to highlight my private practice in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. My name is Licia Ginne, I have been a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist for over 20 years and have been working in the mental health and addiction field for 30 years. My private practice is in Santa Monica, a beach city in Los Angeles County, California. I work with adults in individual, couples and group therapy.

People seek out help when they feel they have run out of options to solve a particular problem in their life. I believe our limitations come from having a narrowed view of the world and we acquired that view throughout our life learning about ourselves from how others have treated us. I will often connect your experience today to how it might have been influenced from your experiences growing up. Together we are able to talk about your relationships with others, with your self and the world. Together we understand your motivations, beliefs, beliefs about your self and the world, identify your emotions and reactions and explore your needs and wants. As our relationship grows so does your experience in the world, more options appear and feel possible.

Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to work in different types of mental health settings; in-patient and out-patient psychiatric hospitals, drug and alcohol treatment programs, eating disorder programs and sexual addiction out-patient program and I was fortunate to have worked in the John Bradshaw in-patient and out-patient codependency treatment program here in Los Angeles. Through my experience I have developed these areas of expertise; addiction treatment, drug & alcohol abuse, sex addiction and eating disorders, relapse and relapse prevention, codependency, adults with childhood trauma and abuse, adult children of alcoholics, depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, relationship issues, marital and couples counseling, pre-marital counseling, those single and wanting a relationship and people who are seeking to make a change in their life.

Make yourself comfortable, enjoy and feel free to roam around and remember that all feedback and questions are greatly appreciated.

Licia Ginne, MFT
